Radiology: Providing 24-hour support to Evanston Regional Hospital, a full complement of radiology imaging services is available for both inpatients and outpatients. High resolution and spiral CT scanning, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), tomography, and general/fluoroscopic radiography are available to provide diagnostic evaluations for our Emergency Services and our inpatients. Evanston Regional Hospital has also added a new spiral CT scanner and a new C-arm for surgeries.

Nuclear Medicine: This form of imaging uses special, low-dose radioactive procedures to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Evanston Regional Hospital has recently installed new, modern-day camera and computer system in our nuclear medicine center.

Bone Densitonomer: The dexascan unit is a new machine that was recently added to our imaging services. This machine tests patients for osteoporosis by using small amounts of x-ray to measure bone mineral. It can also be used to evaluate total body mass.

Ultrasound: When sound waves reflect or bounce off an organ, they help define its shape, density, and functionality giving the physician a safe and reliable tool to use in evaluating a patient's condition.

Laboratory Services: provides diagnostic services in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and microbiology. We also offer a full service clinical laboratory for patients with local or out-of-town physicians and offers blood bank services.
